Different types of tattoo
Professional tattoo: The tattoo artist holds a tattoo gun and injects ink into the dermis of the skin evenly and densely. As time goes by, the pigment migrates to the regional lymph nodes through the lymphatic vessels, so the older the tattoo, the more likely it is that the border of the pigment will be blurred.
Amateur tattoo: The needle is held and the ink is injected into the skin at different depths. The layer is relatively shallow, generally reaching the dermal papillary layer.
Cosmetic tattoo: Usually drawn by makeup artists, such as eyeliner, lip liner and eyebrow tattooing, usually brown, black, flesh-colored and red pigments containing titanium dioxide and iron oxide.
Medical tattoo: Small gray or blue-black tattoo. The location of the radiotherapy area or specific surgical area is specified by medical staff. 5. Traumatic tattoo: It is caused by the deposition of foreign matter. For example, metal, glass, dust and carbon-containing particles enter the skin after mechanical penetration.

The principle of laser tattoo treatment is simply the principle of selective photothermal action. The laser of a specific wavelength can penetrate the epidermis to the dermis and be absorbed by the tattooed pigment mass, instantly producing an explosion-like effect, breaking up the pigment mass, and the broken pigment particles are engulfed and metabolized by the tissue cells of the dermis.
Commonly used are nanosecond Q-switched lasers and picosecond lasers. For tattoos, picosecond lasers are more effective than nanosecond lasers, but even so, it is still difficult to completely remove tattoos. Factors affecting tattoo effects
Tattoo color: Generally, blue-black and black have better effects and are easier to remove; green and red have certain effects, and yellow has the worst effect;
The depth of the tattoo: professional tattoos are usually deeper and more difficult to remove;
The thickness of the tattoo line: the thicker the line, the harder it is to remove.
Notes after treatment
After treatment, apply ice packs immediately. Keep the treated area away from water as much as possible and do not eat spicy food in the first 3 days.
Keep the treated area clean and apply antibiotic cream under the doctor's advice to prevent wound infection. If small blisters appear, do not prick them yourself. Wait for them to be absorbed slowly and apply burn ointment.
Avoid direct sunlight, which may cause the color to deepen in the short term and form pigmentation.
After the treated area is scabbed, avoid scratching, protect the wound surface, let it fall off, and avoid scars due to infection.
Tattoo treatment generally takes 3-6 months, and the number of treatments is relatively high. It often takes more than 3 treatments to achieve a significant lightening effect.
